Has Tech Deck Live Started Advice Starting A Small Home Repair (handyman) Business.?

Advice Starting a small home repair (handyman) business.? - has tech deck live started

Let me fix my own business from home. KC Mo. I live in and want to do the work in the metropolitan region. Now I'm just trying to be run this business part time. I work full time and I want to work on. I am a technician at an apartment complex. My first question:
Is it possible to maintain this position, or would be a conflict of interest?

I do not want me as a bathroom renovation, basment finishing, such as housing, painting, water and electricity. To work the yard. Simple Home Maintenance.
What licenses do I need?
What do I need to register for tax?

When I help someone who claimed that it would be better for me to have a partner or an employee?

I want to be able to advertisegen my service in the telephone and the Internet. As for business cards.
Do I need a little extra for the privilege?

I read something that says you need for every company to register under a name other than yours.
Does this mean that if I use my own name too, because not register the company?

Do I need a counter?

I think that my LLC would be best.
I know somebody who rose from "one hundred U.S. dollars and paid for and received a business license. Is it really that easy or I need a lawyer to create the company and how long must I wait to load a lawyer to start a small business?

I know nothing about starting asmall businesses, but I know that their chosen field. Ten years of experience. I appreciate your thoughts on this topic, Ty.

May be in relation to conflicts of interest, but the best thing to do, all the documents you signed with your current job or ask.

You need a license craftsmen. Will go into the city and a license and if you absolutely have to pay for those taxes. Also, make sure that the place where you get the license, you will learn how to engage in projects. I know that is in California, an employee will receive up to $ 500.00 projects should also have a contractor license.

Depending on whether the form of an LLC, you can have a pair, but I think it would mean that the person be a partner and not another partner on a project basis. May holdR 1099 involved a contractor who will help you in your company is relatively new and may not want to take this responsibility and take the employees. (double-checking with the requirements of the city if) you go for your license.

You must register your company, what name you use.

Certainly do not have a meter, but may be useful one, to ensure that their complications are all things. And how, in fact most of these questions would be better met by a counter.

Make LLC, is my suggestion that you get a lawyer to help you. However, if a soleproprietorship an accountant can help you and you can save money.

Good luck to you!
