Fork seals are replaced in pairs. Thus, while the bike is a new fork, even if it does not expire on that date and will be soon.
Then, the service manual tells you exactly what tools and how to make this work. without the wheel in my shop, I can only give guidelines to apply it to all wheels.
1) Remove the front wheel, fenders, brakes and fork tubes, one after the other in the crown
2) before crossing the fork tubes, remove the caps from the top of the range. Now, loosen the screw locks the fork and remove at a time when the fork crown
3) after removal of the fork spring spacers and others, the fork carefully drain the fork oil into a suitable container.
4) there is usually a pen, the regulator sets up to the plate. Access to this pin is usually at the bottom of the range. You may need a special tool or invent something to keep turning the internal fork, take the tube to remove the special screw.
Eliminate 4a) DUECape Town, c internal clip with pliers in clip, spacer and everything that holds the common office.
5) wildcard slider in a vise, padded to good design, not a scratch, nick thing fork parts. Now, quickly push and pull through the tube and very hard to take responsibility for a few minutes of hard pushing and pulling and moved quickly to distribute to the Board. Resist the temptation to "Dig it out" with something like probably scratch the fork tube, and then they replace.
Installation is the reverse of the output. Make sure you have the correct order on the seal and the separator, the image in C, and then lower it and make sure and get screw sliding in the tube with Loctite to screws from the bottom.
Most textbooks will tell you to use a certain weight of oil in the fork. Personally, I always do my customers the opportunity to do this, but most opt for finding a liquid engine supplier to () with the sound waves. It's way cheaper than bottled Itty Bittys "Guardian of the oil supply and treatment more closely. ATF fluid is the norm for years before all the" designer oils are "is there with his" design awards.
I would get the manual before they continue.
The general opinion here is often very good, but if you want specific information that can actually use, try a bike dedicated website.
It has helped me a lot over the years.
